Why We Love doTERRA Part 1- Sourcing

It’s no secret we love our doTERRA oils. But many people ask us, why doTERRA? Over the next few weeks I will share the reasons we think this company is awesome! This week is Part 1 and will focus on where and how doTERRA sources their oils.

Where do doTERRA oils come from?

Where your oils comes from matters. doTERRA works with farmers around the globe to collect the plants for oils from their indigenous environment. Because so much of a plant’s growth is affected by location, climate and soil composition, plants grown in their native region yield better overall plants, which provide more of the aromatic compounds essential oil users seek. Check out this map to see just a few of the countries doTERRA uses to source their oils.

What is Co-Impact Sourcing?

Because doTERRA sources their oils from around the world, they want to make a difference in the lives of the farmers, harvesters and distillers that provide the high quality essential oils that are the hallmark of the company. Many of the countries where these plants are indigenous are developing countries, where people are often treated unfairly. doTERRA developed co-impact sourcing as a way to develop long term working relationships with people in these countries, providing sustainable jobs and reliable incomes to those in underdeveloped areas.  Check out the graphic below to see how doTERRA’s sourcing is making a difference.
