Why We Love doTERRA Part 2- Purity

It’s no secret we love our doTERRA oils. But many people ask us, why doTERRA? Over the next few weeks I will share the reasons we think this company is awesome! Week 1 was about how doTERRA sources their oils. This week is part 2, purity and quality of doTERRA essential oils.

A big part of doTERRA’s promise of pure essential oils is in their Certified Pure Theraputic Grade, or CPTG, oils. Many companies sell essential oils these days but not all are created equal. Most oils that are bought in stores are to be used only aromatically, whereas doTERRA oils can be used aromatically, topically and internally. Click here to read our previous blog article about CPTG.

Many people question why doTERRA oils are not certified as ‘organic’. Unfortantely, the organic certification varies between states and between countries, and because doTERRA sources their oils from plant world wide, there is no international certification of organic available. However, a variety of tests are performed on every bottle of doTERRA essential oils. This ensures that the oils are free from herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals we don’t want in our bodies. For more information about the various scientific tests, click here to read the article by doTERRA. Lots of science goes in to every oil we use to ensure the highest quality of purity.
